A woman was arrested April 15 on drug and illegal drone operation charges, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Public Information Manager Kelly Betts said in a release that Andrea Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts of attempting to commit a controlled substance crime, two counts of possession of marijuana I, two counts of illegal drone operation and promoting prison contraband II.
Betts said on Tuesday, narcotics agents with the Law Enforcement Services Division of the ADOC secured the charges against Robinson.
“These charges stemmed from an incident on February 27, 2025, where drones were utilized in an attempt to introduce contraband into Holman Correctional Facility,” Betts said.
Robinson was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
Betts said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
