Two Atmore men were arrested April 16 on possession of drug charges, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Tyson Knight, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Ray Wiggins, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana I and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said at approximately 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, APD narcotics agents and the special response team executed a search warrants at a residence in the 200 block of 4^th Avenue.

“The search warrant was requested after surveillance was conducted due to citizen complaints,” McMann said. “Officers discovered several dozen grams of marijuana in the residence and items used to ingest narcotics.”
