An Atmore man was arrested April 17 on possession of drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Samuel Bostic, 49, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said at approximately 2:45 a.m. last Thursday, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street on a vehicle being operated without any headlights. The officer contacted the driver, Bostic.
“During the officer’s interaction with Bostic, the officer noted suspicious behavior and detained Bostic,” McMann said. “During a search of Bostic, the officer recovered a glass pipe contained a crystal-like residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine.”
Bostic was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
