Walmart officials said the Atmore store is currently going through a remodel and is expected to be completed during the summer.

Director of Corporate Communications Kelsey Bohl said in an email that the store isn’t closed, and construction occurs after hours.

Bohl said each remodel includes faces to “Store of the Future,” and include:

• expansion of grocery pickup and delivery
• updated pharmacy
• new grab and go section
• expanded deli and produce
• new community focused food and merchandise
• renovated apparel section
