Atmore woman dies in single-vehicle wreck May 5

An Atmore woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Booneville Road near Long Hollow Road on May 5, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Senior Trooper Joshua Thompson said in a release that Debra S. Albritton, 63, was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Camry she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Thompson said Albritton was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Monday, approximately 16 miles north of Atmore in Escambia County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
