Franklin L. King, 84, of Perdido, passed away on May 3, 2025, at his residence. Franklin was born on November 5, 1940, in Perdido to William Lee and Mamie Stewart King.

Franklin is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn King; and three brothers, Byron King, Rayford King and Ralph King.

Franklin is survived by his son, Roger (Judy) King of Dyas; his daughter, Susan King of Perdido; his brother, Ron (Mona) King of Destin, Fla.; his sisters, Janice Murphree of Holly Pond and Barbara Welch of Dacula, Ga.; three grandchildren, Trever King, Tyler Biggs and Shannon Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held this Fri., May 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Hadley, Bro. Danny Alldredge and Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Bryars-McGill Cemetery in Perdido.

Visitation will be held on May 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. until service time at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.
