A Pensacola, Fla. man was arrested May 7 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Kendris Watts, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
McMann said at approximately 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, an APD officer was dispatched to the intersection of West Craig Street and South Main Street for a possible disabled vehicle.
“As the officer approached the vehicle to contact the driver, who was later identified as Watts, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle,” McMann said. “The officer conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and discovered a small amount of synthetic cannabis (spice).”
Watts was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
