A Pensacola, Fla. woman was arrested June 18 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Brittany White, 36, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said at approximately 2:20 p.m. last Wednesday, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street in reference to a moving violation. The officer contacted the driver, and the passenger (White).
“During the officer’s interaction with the driver and the passenger, he noted suspicious behavior and requested a K-9 officer come to the scene,” McMann said. “During the search of the vehicle officers discovered several broken glass pipes on the passenger side of the vehicle. The glass pipes are commonly used to ingest narcotics. The passenger, later identified as White, was also in possession of a small amount of cocaine and methamphetamine.”
White was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
