Four additional arrests have been made in reference to the June 24 shooting that resulted in the death of a 17 year old male and injuries to another, according to the Atmore Police Department.

According to the APD’s Facebook page, on June 26, the department’s narcotics/vice division, special response team, school resource division, criminal investigation division and patrol division, made the arrest of the four individuals.

Those who were arrested have been charged with murder and attempted murder. One of the individuals is a juvenile, and his name will not be released.

According to the APD, those arrested included:

Timothy Sanders, 18

A juvenile male, 17

Kcarheem McKenzie, 19

Exavion Bradley, 20

All four were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release Friday that on June 23, an investigator who had been investigating an unrelated incident involving a firearm, discovered evidence connecting Bradley, McKenzie, Sanders and the 17-year-old juvenile to a shooting that occurred on Oct. 31, 2024.

“Investigators recovered dozens of spent shell casings fired from different caliber firearms in the incident,” McMann said. “Four houses were struck by gunfire (families were home in two of them), and three parked vehicles were struck by gunfire.”

McMann said Bradley, McKenzie, Sanders and the 17-year-old juvenile have all been charged with five counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, two counts of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied dwelling and three counts of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle in reference to the October incident.

The arrest of the additional four marks the sixth arrest made in reference to the June 24 shooting. Tyler Hall, 22, and Javarius Watkins, 24, both of Evergreen, were arrested earlier this week.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that on June 24, 2025 at approximately 1:50 a.m., APD officers responded to Atmore Community Hospital in reference to two people who had been shot and were transported by private vehicle to the hospital.

“One of the victims passed away due to their injuries,” McMann said. “The other victim was transported to a trauma center for non life threatening injuries.”

McMann said the investigation revealed that a group of people met on Carver Avenue near 18th Avenue for a street race.

“Gunfire erupted at the completion of the race after the winners collected their money,” he said.
