Sex offender caughtPublished 11:09pm Tuesday, February 14, 2012
A McDavid man fresh out of a prison stint for sex offenses is back in jail in Pensacola after being arrested Monday for violating his probation.
Nathan Arron Mack, 20, of Railroad Street in McDavid, was arrested in July 2010 and charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a person 12 years of age or older but less than 16 years of age and interference with custody by the Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office.
Officials could not give details about Monday’s arrest for the probation violation.
According to police reports, the 2010 arrest was made after Mack was found with a 14-year-old female runaway.
According to arrest reports, Mack and the victim admitted having sexual intercourse to deputies, who then contacted the girl’s mother.
At the time of his 2010 arrest, Mack told deputies he picked up the victim the previous evening after meeting her at a Winn Dixie located at Chemstrand Road and Nine Mile Road in Pensacola.
Mack’s most recent arrest on Monday makes his third violation with the sheriff’s office, including a 2009 arrest for criminal mischief and damage to property.
As of press time Mack was still incarcerated at the Escambia County Jail without bond.
