The Escambia Academy Cougars varsity basketball team kicked off their season with a win against Atmore Christian School Tuesday night by a final score of 64-55.

The Cougars jumped out to an early 8-2 lead, but the Rams showed resilience. They battled back to cut the lead to 14-13 at the end of the first quarter, and even took a brief lead in the early part of the second quarter.
