Students in ECHS' new jazz band perform for guests Thursday afternoon in the school library.

What do jazz band, photography, nutrition and finance all have in common? As of this semester at Escambia County High School, they are all subjects offered by the school’s new 21st Century Community Learning Center after school program.

Thursday afternoon, students involved in some of the new courses helped program leaders unveil the new offerings to the public with a display of what is now available.

Students, teachers, administrators and parents all got a chance to hear from Sturleen Morris, 21st Century site coordinator, as well the music of some of the kids participating in the new jazz band, chamber band and chorus.
