The Poarch Band of Creek Indians this weekend played host for the Southeastern Indian Festival and drew crowds from all over the country.

Including songs and dances, storytelling, living history, arts and crafts demonstrations, authentic Indian foods, stickball games and hands on activities for kids, the festival was aimed at promoting the understanding of Indian culture country-wide.

The event included the Oklahoma Creek Stomp Dances, the Mississippi Choctow Social Dancers and The Warriors of Anikituhwa.
