Five Escambia Academy softball players participated in the Alabama Indpendent Schools’ Association All-Star Game Tuesday evening at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

The players, who were nominated by coach David Williams were seniors Hannah Fountain, Allie Brooks and Sydney McGhee, as well as juniors Lacie Flowers and Grayson Emmons.

The seniors won their game as the American team beat the National team 8-4. In the game, the girls played four innings each.

McGhee had the big night in the group, hitting a double, picking up an RBI and scoring two runs. Fountain picked up a walk.

“Escambia Academy is so proud of its all-stars,” Williams said. “We wish them nothing but great success in their life adventures.”
The juniors lost their game as the National team beat the American team 7-2. Both Flowers and Emmons played four innings.

Flowers did reach base on a walk.
