U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne, who represents the 1st Congressional District of Alabama, recently announced that he is now accepting applications for internships in Washington and Alabama, for summer 2014.

“It’s important to allow our next generation of leaders to get involved with the constitutional process,” Byrne said. “With these internships, my office is allowing South Alabama’s best and brightest to experience our government up close, participating in issues that have a real impact on our community.”

Applicants must have completed at least two years of college. Interested students should fill out the application form on Byrne’s website (www.byrne.house.gov) and return to the Mobile district office no later than Feb. 28.
