NHS graduate killed in crash

A recent Northview High School graduate was killed Sunday in a one-vehicle accident, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Tori Amber Jordan, 17, of Century, Fla., was killed in the crash. According to the FHP report, a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Audra Elizabeth Martin, 18, of Century, was traveling northbound on Greenland Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Malibu reportedly veered to the left, and then the driver “overcorrected to the right and left on the dirt road.” The vehicle struck a ditch on the west shoulder of the roadway, causing the Malibu to overturn and ejecting Jordan from the vehicle, according to the report.

The crash took place near the intersection of Dortch Road, at approximately 4:50 p.m.

Neither person in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt. The crash is still under investigation.

Martin experienced minor injuries and was transported to Atmore Community Hospital.

Both Jordan and Martin graduated from NHS in 2014.
