First National Bank & Trust has pledged a commitment of $8,500 to the Atmore Area YMCA, according to a press release from FNB&T.

On July 30, the FNB&T board of directors approved a commitment of $500 per month through December 2015, to help with the YMCA’s recent financial shortfalls and to help keep its doors open.

In the press release, band officials stated: “The YMCA has been part of our community for more than 15 years and the building it occupies has been with us for more than 85 years, which makes it even more important to preserve this landmark.”
