Yellowstone County Assistant Coroner Cliff Mahoney identified the victim as Blackwell on Friday.

A medical doctor traveling on the flight had been tending to Blackwell before the emergency landing, Glancy told the Gazette.

Paramedics received permission from the coroner’s office to remove the deceased from the plane, while passengers remained on board. The flight departed for Seattle about 2-1/2 hours after landing in Billings.
