An Atmore man has confessed to burglarizing a home and stealing a flat-screen TV.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said 18-year-old Kadarrin McCarthy has been charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft of property and third-degree criminal mischief.

“On June 6, it was reported that someone kicked in the front door of an East Sunset Drive home, went in and stole the TV,” Lambert said. “Witnesses stated McCarthy was seen in the area. When deputies made contact with him, he confessed to the burglary.”
