A service for Memorial Day will be held Mon., May 29, at the Veterans Memorial in Atmore.

The service is held each year to honor those locals who have fallen in actin while serving in the nation’s military. Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day, and it is a day of commemoration.

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May.

This year’s keynote speaker is Bobby Davis, and Harold Madison and team will handled the memorial roll call.

The service will begin at 9 a.m.
