Tropical Depression 3 forms

The third tropical weather pattern of the hurricane season has formed in the Atlantic Ocean and should make its way through the Gulf of Mexico, according to Escambia County EMA Director David Adams.

Tropical Depression Three has formed northeast of Cuba and is currently headed to the west-northwest.

Current forecasts call for TD 3 to pass into the Gulf of Mexico late Friday or early Saturday.  Long range predictions have the storm passing across the Gulf to Louisiana or Texas.  It is still too early to have a great deal of confidence of the track of this storm. Once it reaches the Gulf, it can impact any portion of the Gulf Coast.
