Newly promoted YMCA manager Ross Terry believes that the non-profit Christian organization is on a new path, one he believes is the right one.

Terry, who served for years as the programs/facilities director, said he is looking forward to his new role at the YMCA.

“I’m excited about the challenge,” Terry said. “I just feel that the basic building blocks have been put into place to make this one of the best YMCAs around.”

YMCA Board of Directors President Allen Walston said having Terry in charge is a step in the right direction.

“The board voted unanimously to promote Ross to the manager position and feel he is doing a great job,” Walston said. “The Y is running smoothly and in the right direction.”

In addition to Terry’s promotion, the YMCA has also been working to promote its new logo, or face of the Y.

The staff and board members are also selling T-shirts to promote and raise funds.
