EXCEL – Mr. James Allen Bodiford, 58, of Excel died Aug. 7, 2010 at a family residence in Repton.

Mr. Bodiford was born in Excel and had lived most of his life in Monroe County. He was a mechanic and owned and operated a shop. He attended the Frisco City Holiness Church.

His father, Paul Bodiford Jr.; his brothers, Paul Wayne Bodiford and Larry Wayne Bodiford and his son, Christopher Allen Bodiford, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Wilda Bodiford of Excel; common law wife, Sharon Harrison of Excel; four sons, Wayne Allen Bodiford of Monroeville, David Paul Bodiford of Monroeville, Kenny Ray (Melody) Bodiford of Monroeville and Jason Allen Bodiford of Monroeville; two daughters, Tina Lousie Bodiford of Pensacola, Fla. and Tameka Renee Harrison of Monroeville; a brother, Charlie Earl (Gwendolyn) Bodiford of Atmore; stepdaughter, Sharon Patricia Harrison of Evergreen; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 11, 2010 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Shiloh Cemetery.
