Area teams hit road Friday night

Friday night football is quickly approaching and area residents have their pick of important games to attend, but be sure to have the gas tank full as all three area teams will be on the road this week.

The Northview Chiefs are away from their home stadium this week to take on the Sneads Pirates in another important district match up.

With a win the Chiefs will inch another game closer to earning a playoff spot.

In a classic rivalry game, the Escambia County Blue Devils travel to Bay Minette looking to end their regular season with a win against the Baldwin County Tigers. With a win, the Blue Devils would enter the playoffs at 7-3 and riding a two-game win streak.

The Escambia Academy Cougars leave Canoe this week to take on a rival in the Monroe Academy Volunteers.

The Cougars will finish up their season in Monroeville and are taking on the No. 1 team in the AISA.

For results of the games see Saturday’s edition of The Atmore Advance.
