BAY MINETTE – Samuel Smith Everette Sr., 87, of Bay Minette died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at his residence.

He was retired from the hardware business, born in Monroe County on May 13, 1923 to the late Jesse E. and Georgia Mae Turberville Everette Sr.

Two sisters, Ouida E. Callendar and Bobbie Spain and three brothers, Joseph P. Everette, Willard O. Everette and Jesse Earl Everette Jr., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mable S. Everette, of Bay Minette; one son, Samuel S. Everette Jr. and wife, Sheila, of Daphne; one brother, Gordon Everette and one sister, Alma Miles, both of Atmore; two grandchildren, Samuel S. Everette III and Baldwin S. Everette; seven great grandchildren, Samuel S. Everette IV, Madelin E. Everette, Lila Everette and J. Wesley Everette and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 from the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.
