The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a tornado warning for southwestern Escambia County in Alabama and northwestern Escambia County in Florida until 1 p.m.

At 12:01 p.m., the NWS doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado eight miles east of Bay Minette. The storm is moving northeast at 25 miles per hour and should reach Atmore by 12:30 p.m.
