Northview Chiefs head to Jacksonville

Northview's football team boards a bus bound for Jacksonville, Fla., as they head into the semi-finals of high school playoff action Friday agasint Trinity Christian.

The Northview Chiefs left Bratt, Fla. Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. en route to Jacksonville, Fla., as they advance to the semi-finals in state high school playoff action. The team will battle against Trinity Christian in a game set for a 7:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. CST) kickoff.

Students, faculty and staff joined the football team, band and cheerleaders for a send-off pep rally Thursday morning in the school gym. Coach Sid Wheatley spoke to supporters at the event giving thanks for their support.

“We appreciate the support of all of the fans this season,” Wheatley said. “We are just four quarters away from the possibility of playing for a state championship.”
