BAY MINETTE – Mr. John Henry Sanders, 52, of Bay Minette transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.

He was a native of Little River and had been a resident of Atlanta for many years before returning to Bay Minette in December 2009. He was a graduate of Baldwin County High School in 1979.

His father, Henry Sanders; one sister, Cynthia Sanders and one brother, Tony Sanders, preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Earnestine Sanders, of Bay Minette; three daughters, Tamara La’Trice Grimes of Atmore, Syretta Brown of Spanish Fort and Teakia Graves of Bay Minette; one son, Kelvin Montez Grimes of Atmore; four sisters, Bernice Bradley, Carolyn Sanders and Cathy Palmer, all of Bay Minette and Shirley Moore of Perdido; six brothers, Robert Shoemo and Roy Sanders, both of Atmore, Roosevelt Sanders of Pensacola, Fla. and Claude Sanders, Wilmon Sanders and Garland Sanders, all of Bay Minette and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at the Union Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Dees, eulogist and the Rev. Dwight Boykin, host pastor officiating. Retirement of his remains will be in the mutual aide cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
