The late Brenda Kay Adams-Packer was born Sept. 11, 1960 to the late Eugene Packer and Alvinia Adams Packer.

She was born in Foley, attended Foley High School and graduated with honors in 1978. She worked more than 25 years for the State of Alabama.

Her twin sister, Mrs. Linda Kay Heard preceded her in death.

She departed this life on Dec. 24, 2010.

She leaves to cherish her memories two very devoted daughter, Vanessa S, Mathis and Laila Kay Mathis; a very devoted brother-in-law, Vernie Heard Jr.; two nephews, Vernie Heard III and Sharod Heard; a god daughter, Glenda Kay Henton; great grandmother, Caldonia Penn of Monroeville; two aunts, Fannie (Sam) Jones and Willie Grace Henton (James Weston), both of Foley; three uncles, Rayford Adams, Mack Arthur (Rebecca) Adams, of Foley and Ben (Rose) Adams of Lillian.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Dec. 30, 2010 at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Southside Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 30, 2010.
