Charlie K. Stallworth

ATMORE – Mr. Charlie K. Stallworth, 89, of Atmore transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at Atmore Community Hospital.

He was a native of Vredenburgh (Monroe Co.) and had lived in Atmore most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a certified electrician. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #7016.

Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Voncile Stallworth of Atmore; one son, Samuel Stallworth of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Pamela Stallworth of Atmore and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2010 at the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Hawthorne, Pastor, officiating. Retirement of his remains will be in the Barrancus National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home and his body will lie instate at the Church one hour prior to services.
