An Atmore man and woman are facing a variety of drug charges after being arrested last week by Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies.

Marshall Wayne Wall, 36, and Suzanne Digmon Mims, 28, were arrested after a patrol officer recognized Wall as he stood in the yard of a home on Sardis Church Road.

Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Wall had an outstanding warrant and that information had put officers on alert for him. He said the Department had received information that Wall and Digmon were living at the Sardis Church Road residence together.

“Our officer was on patrol and saw Wall standing in the yard at the residence,” Lambert said. “The officer knew he had a warrant out on him and he stopped to speak with Wall.”

Lambert said Wall fled from the yard and into the residence. Digmon remained on the scene as well.

“We began a search of the residence to find Wall,” Lambert said. “While we were searching the room in which Wall and Mims were staying we found drug paraphernalia including syringes and a substance we believed to be crystal meth.”

Officers located Wall in the attic of the home, Lambert said. He and Digmon were both arrested at the scene without further incident.

Digmon was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, hindering prosecution and obstructing governmental operations.

Wall was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, hindering prosecution and obstructing governmental operations.

Each suspect was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center and held on a $5,000 bond.

Wall was released on bond, however Digmon remained behind bars as of press time Friday.
