BAY MINETTE – Mr. James Charles Baker Sr., 73, of Bay Minette and a native of Tensaw passed away Jan. 6, 2011 at North Baldwin Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Baker of Cleveland, Ohio; five daughters, Laverne Wynne of Birmingham, Lavida Williams of Birmingham, Evonne Baker and Claudette Baker of Cleveland, Ohio and Lisa Strozier of Cleveland, Ohio; two sons, James Charles Baker Jr. and Lloyd Strozier of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Clara (Jimmy) York of Tensaw, Lula Williams of Bay Minette and Annie (John) White of Columbus, Miss. and one brother, Louis Baker of Bay Minette.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 from the St. Matthews Methodist Church of Tensaw with Pastor Eugene Worsham officiating. Interment will follow in Tensaw Memorial Cemetery.

Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore will direct services.
