3rd Avenue doctor’s office gutted by fire

Flames engulfed an Atmore doctor’s office late Wednesday afternoon causing heavy damage to the wood-framed structure.
The fire, which began just after 5 p.m., ripped through psychiatrist Dr. Jill Hall’s 3rd Avenue office just off Church Street across from Dollar General.
Numerous Atmore Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene to put out the flames. Members of the Poarch Creek Fire Department provided mutual aid.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
