ATMORE – Marvin L. Condrey Sr., 71, of Atmore died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 in Pensacola, Fla.

He was retired U.S. Army, born in Brewton on March 2, 1939 to the late Dan and Isabell Allen Condrey.

His wife, Flossie Mae Condrey; three sisters, Mattie Richarme, Eura Mae Miller and Ann Ruth Hall and one brother, Eldridge Condrey, preceded him in death.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Godwin of Winfield, La.; Kenneth Condrey of Flomaton and Marvin L. Condrey Jr. of Andalusia; one daughter, Carla Daeffler of Waterloo, N.Y.; two sisters, Lillie Bell Miller and Luverne Madison, both of Atmore; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. William Odom officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors.

Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, Jan. 20, 2011 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
