Ryan and Friends

Laughter will fill Grace Fellowship’s sanctuary Friday night as the church hosts ventriloquist and comedian Ryan Bomgardner for a evening of fun.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and there is no charge for admission. An offering will, however, be received to help cover the cost of the evening.

“Get ready for laughs, tears, and maybe a few ‘harmless’ insults,” Grace officials said in a press release. “With Ryan in the driver’s seat, anything can happen!”

Bomgardner will be joined by his pals including Ardy a skunk; Harold & Irene, some old friends; and Jeffrey, the eight-year-old self-proclaimed star of the show, as presents his “Ryan & Friends” comedy act.

Having Bomgardner and his act at Grace is a treat in itself as he receives more than 500 performance invitations and accepts 130 of these annually.

According to Bomgardner’s Web site, he graduated from the Maher School of Ventriloquism in Colorado and is a member of the North American Association of Ventriloquists where he gets to “hang out with other cool guys who play with dolls.”
