Severe weather likely for Monday

A SEVERE WEATHER EVENT IS LIKELY ON MONDAY AS AN ORGANIZED SQUALL LINE MOVES IN FROM THE WEST…WITH THE POTENTIAL OF SEVERE STORMS OVER SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI AND THE INTERIOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE SEVERE WEATHER RISK WILL ADVANCE EASTWARD ACROSS THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA MONDAY EVENING, AND THEN EXIT THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA AROUND 2 AM.
COMPUTER WEATHER MODELS CONTINUE TO SUGGEST THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE LIKELY WITH DAMAGING WINDS… LARGE HAIL…ISOLATED TORNADOES…AND PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN.
ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO BE REQUIRED BEGINNING LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON.
