Atmore area residents will have a unique opportunity Friday evening when members of a local family retell their experiences in Israel.

The Gehman family recently returned from a 10-day trip to the Holy Land and is planning an event to share their experiences with those interested in the sites, sounds and emotions of Israel.

“At the direction of my parents, 21 members of our family traveled to Israel and toured the country for 10 days,” David Gehman said. “During that time I was afforded a fantastic opportunity to shoot thousands of images of what we saw.”

Those photos have been gathered as a presentation open to the public.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, those interested are invited to Gospel Light Church to witness the presentation as well as have an opportunity to talk to members of the family that took the memorable trip.

“This trip was very memorable,” David said. “And, so incredible.”

Gehman is known for his photography ability and has used the photos taken on the trip to create a presentation that will fully showcase the many sites of the Holy Land as well as give an intimate look at things not usually seen in magazines or in television images. The presentation has been set to music to offer a more unique experience.

Gospel Light Church is located at 501 N. Trammel St., just off Howard Street across from Marty’s Furniture. The church office can be reached at 368-3353.
