Mrs. Ida Mae Singleton, 91, of Atmore transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her residence.

She was a member of the Senior Choir Missionary, Stewardess Board No. 2 and secretary. She also was a retired housekeeper, domestic.

Her husband, L.V. Singleton; sisters and brothers, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Lardell McCants and Margaret Singleton of Atmore and one son, Willie C. Goldsmith, of Montevallo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Gaines Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Joseph Williams, pastor officiating. Retirement of her remains will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at the Turner Funeral Chapel.

Her body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
