BILOXI, Miss. – Mrs. Mary Ann Crenshaw-Martin, 54, of Biloxi, Miss. formerly of Atmore transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, April 22, 2011 at a Biloxi hospital.

She worked as a cook in the restaurant industry and was a member of the New Community Baptist Church in Biloxi.

A daughter, Sherry Renae Crenshaw; a granddaughter, Mykia Dee-Shae McDonald and her parents, Mary Curry Crenshaw and Johnny “Coon” Crenshaw, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Ray Charles Martin Sr. of Biloxi, Miss.; four daughters, Mushanda Martin, Lugenia Martin and Miranda Martin, all of Biloxi, Miss. and Tawanda (Anthony) McCants of Atmore; three sons, Jeronimo Crenshaw, Ray Martin Jr. and Gerald Martin, all of Biloxi, Miss.; six sisters, Gennie (James) Lewis, Jemethia Ballard, Daisy Crenshaw, Elizabeth Crenshaw, Deborah Turner and Kimberly Crenshaw, all of Atmore; seven brothers, Roosevelt Crenshaw and Joe Crenshaw both of Philadelphia, Pa., Andrew Crenshaw, Michael Crenshaw, Danny Crenshaw and Timothy Crenshaw, all of Atmore and Nathaniel Crenshaw of Monroeville and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. John Guy, pastor of New Community Baptist Church in Biloxi officiating and the Rev. Joe L. Hayes, host pastor. Inhumation will be in the Mt. Shiloh Cemetery in Nokomis with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
