Movies provided by the City of Brewton Parks and Recreation will have its first showing Friday, June 24, at Dogwood Hills Golf Course.

According to Gary Hill, director of the parks and recreation board, the first showing will be at 8:15 p.m. and is rated PG. Both children and adults will enjoy the movie, which can’t be identified by name, due to copyrights. It is a story of a child and his adventures with a mystical dragon.

Hill said he is very excited about the list of the movies lined up for the summer.

“I hope we can schedule a movie about every two weeks,” Hill said. “If everything works out, there will be a variety of movies, and they will all be rated for the whole family to enjoy.”
