FOUNTAIN RUN, Ky. – Marvin Dean Schneider, 80 of Fountain Run, KY died Tuesday June 28, 2011 at his residence.

The McPherson County, Kansas native was born May 9, 1931, one of six children, born to the late Henry and Marie Ratzloff Schneider. He was a farmer, businessman and enjoyed woodworking, a member of the Fountain Run Mennonite Church.

A son, William Dean “Bill” Schneider, two Brothers, Earl Schneider and Ervin Schneider, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 57 Years, Aldene Hiebert Schneider of Fountain Run, Ky.; two Daughters, Rita Eicher and husband, Greg of Fountain Run, Ky. And Janet Dirks and husband Randy of Surprise, Ariz.; a daughter-In-law, Denise Faircloth and husband, Wayne of Albertsville; three Sisters, Velma Wenger and husband Ervy of Walnut Hill, Fla. Evelyn Rutchman of Moundridge, Kan. and Carolyn Reiger and husband Reinhard of Hesston, Kan.; a sister-In-law, Brenda Schneider of Walnut Hill, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were at 7 p.m. Thursday June 30, 2011 from the Fountain Run Mennonite Church with the Rev. Gary Mininger officiating and again at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 2, 2011 from the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church with the Rev. Wilbert Peters, the Rev. Verle Peters and the Rev. Galen Harms and Deacon Galen Schmidt officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens. Family received friends at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 until service time at Fountain Run Mennonite Church and again from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday July 1, 2011 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Brent Eicher, Ryan Dirks, Wesley Dirks, Cameron Schneider, Lance Dirks, Alan Wesley, Kelly Goossen, Jayme Ratzloff, Ryan Jantz and Wayne Friesen.
