In a battle of district rivals, the Northview Lady Chiefs lost their second match of the season to the Jay Lady Royals in a best three-of-five.

The Lady Chiefs (0-2, 0-1) fell in the match 3-2 with the Lady Royals winning game one 14-25, game four 21-25 and game five 15-17. The Lady Chiefs won game two 25-9 and game three 25-22.

Leading the Lady Chiefs in the loss were juniors Misty Doran and Morgan Payne. Doran posted nine kills, eight aces, four digs, two blocks and one assist, while Payne had seven kills, five assists, one block, one dig and one ace.

Sophomore Lily Townson recorded seven assists and two aces, and sophomore Payton Hadley had six assists, two kills and one block.
