After opening the season with a three-game stay on the road, the Northview Chiefs finally host a game this Friday when the Gulf Breeze Dolphins come to Bratt, Fla.

The Chiefs (2-1, 0-0) came away with two impressive victories in their first three games beating Marianna 27-14 in their first game and S. Walton 47-8 in last week’s match up.

Northview’s lone loss came in a seven-point deficit to Chipley on Sept. 16.

Gulf Breeze (2-1, 1-0) brings a competitive team to Northview after beating Walton High School 54-0 in the first week and Arnold High School 38-8 last week.

In their only loss, the Dolphins fell 34-28 to Pensacola Catholic High School.

Gulf Breeze will present a challenge for the Chiefs with their offense and defense.

The Dolphins competitive nature will create a tough task for Northview, Wheatley said.

“It’s going to be a big challenge for our guys,” he said. “They have a good football team with a talented offense that scores a lot of points. Their defense plays solid football, so it’s going to be a tough match up.”

Northview and Gulf Breeze kick off at 7 p.m. at Chiefs Stadium at Northview High School.
