Local teams ready for week of volleyball action

Volleyball players at local high schools are gearing up for a tough week on the court. Fans of Escambia County, Northview and Atmore Christian School will have plenty to look forward to, as the three teams will stay busy all week.

The Northview Lady Chiefs will kick off the action with a home game against Catholic Tuesday with the junior varsity set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and varsity scheduled to start play at 6:30 p.m.

The Atmore Christian School Lady Rams will also face off Tuesday on the volleyball court as ACS travels to Pensacola to take on East Hill Christian. Junior varsity action will begin at 4:30 p.m. with varsity play starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Escambia Academy Lady Cougars will get in on the action Thursday at home with a varsity match up against Meadowview at 4 p.m. NHS will also play Tuesday night at home in Bratt versus the Flomaton Lady Hurricanes. The junior varsity team will hit the court at 5 p.m. while the varsity squad will play at 6 p.m.

ACS will wrap up the week’s action at home against Aletheia Christian Academy Friday afternoon, as the junior varsity will get started at 4:30 p.m. before the varsity contest begins at 5:30 p.m.
