Northview Chiefs whip Freeport

A week off boded well for the Northview Chiefs as they used the extra time to prepare for Friday night’s 35-21 win over the Freeport Bulldogs at home in Bratt during NHS’ 2011 senior night.
The Chiefs came into Friday’s game riding the momentum of a 56-7 shellacking of the Jay Royals, Oct. 8 on the road, improving NHS’ record to 3-2 on the year.
The Chiefs took some time to recognize the near 40 senior members of their football, cheerleading, band an ROTC programs before their match up with the Bulldogs Friday.
The added attention did nothing to distract the veteran members of the Chiefs’ football program from notching their fourth win of the year and their second district win of the season.
With a two-game winning streak under their belts, Northview will face off with the Yellow Jackets of Vernon net week in yet another Chiefs’ road game.
Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
