Poarch hosts annual baseball clinic Dec. 28

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians Wellness and Activities Department En Fuego Baseball will hold its annual baseball clinic on Dec. 28 at the Arrowhead Sports Complex on the reservation.

The clinic for ages seven to 17 will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the final registration and a meet and greet.

On hand to teach at the clinic will be several prominent coaches and players including Hunter Vick (Central Alabama Community College & Tampa Bay Rays), Hugh Lopez (Faith Academy and South Alabama), Brett Uvodich (South Alabama and En Fuego Baseball), John Uvodich (South Alabama), Ty Patterson (Tampa Bay Rays), Lance Johnson (White Sox/Mets/Cubs), John and West Mugarian (Reds), Warren Huges (White Sox), Larry Thomas (White Sox/Rangers and En Fuego Baseball) and Rick Patterson (White Sox/Cubs/Yankees/Mets).

Lunch will be provided for all participants of the baseball clinic as well as a T-Shirt.

The registration fee for the clinic is $35 and tribal members and first generation will be eligible for a discount.
