Local authorities are working to determine the details of a wreck on Highway 21 near Sizemore Bridge that sent two people to the hospital Wednesday.

An unidentified man and woman were taken to Atmore Community Hospital around 11:30 a.m. after several cars collided in the front yard of a residence.

Witnesses on the scene said the young woman was driving an Oldsmobile Alero and reported another vehicle involved in the wreck left the scene of the accident.

Two other vehicles also received damage, but authorities are still working to determine whether one or both of the cars was parked in the home’s front yard prior to Wednesday’s collision.
