Coming off of a trip to the semifinals in 2010, the Northview Chiefs were viewed as one of the top contenders in Class 1A during the 2011 season and they put up a fight all the way up to the semifinals in December.

The Chiefs finished the season 8-4 giving head coach Sid Wheatley his third straight winning season in as many seasons as the leader for the Bratt, Fla. school.

For his success on the field this season, Wheatley has been selected as the 2011 The Atmore Advance’s 2011 Head Coach of the Year.
Wheatley took over the Chiefs three seasons ago following former coach Cody Keene’s departure and quickly turned the Chiefs into a winning program again.
