Atmore’s United Fund is nearing the end of their 2012 fundraising campaign and president Leann Allen said their efforts could use a late surge of support from local residents and businesses.

“We would like to wrap up our drive by the end of March,” Allen said.  “We are about $12,000 short of our $60,000.00 goal.”

UF got off to a fast start for this year’s campaign raising nearly $29,000 during their fund raising kick off event in December and the drive has continued to pick up steam since. Allen said she feels positive UF can meet their goal on time through the support of the Atmore community.

Anyone that would like to donate to UF may contact a board member or send their donation to  P.O. Box 823 Atmore, Al 36504.
