Perdido Elementary/Middle School students competed at the Southwest Regional Technology Fair on the campus Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette Thursday, March 15 and came away as winners in multiple categories. The students involved stayed busy researching, designing and building robots as well as creating written scripts for videoing, editing and producing. They also collected data on stocks, experimented with bubble gum to find the percentage of sugar in various brands and flavors and participated in many additional areas of interest in order to create their computer projects. They begin the process early in the fall so that they would have ample time to test, adjust and retest their projects in order to obtain the best possible results.
